SEPT. 19, 2016 -- The Los Angles County Democratic Party just unanimously endorsed Measure M, the Los Angeles County Traffic Improvement Plan.
"The Los Angeles County Democratic Party enthusiastically endorses Measure M, the Los Angeles County Traffic Improvement Plan, because it brings common sense solutions to the single biggest challenge to the quality of life for folks in LA -- our horrendous traffic," said Eric C. Bauman, Chair of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party. "Measure M will reduce the time we're stuck in traffic by 15 percent, reduce pollutants in our air and will create 465,000 jobs throughout our region. We urge every Democrat -- and every L.A. County resident -- to vote yes on Measure M."
"This endorsement is a huge vote of confidence in the county-wide congestion relief and economic benefits that Measure M will deliver," said Los Angeles Mayor and Metro Vice Chair Eric Garcetti. "Every voter should put Measure M on their priority list for the upcoming election."
Voting YES on Measure M, the Los Angeles County Traffic Improvement Plan, will ease congestion and reduce the time we're stuck in traffic by 15 percent. And in doing so, it will create 465,000 new jobs in our region. Measure M will ease traffic immediately by repairing potholes and repaving local streets and roads in each of L.A. County’s 88 cities and incorporated areas, will keep senior, disabled, and student fares affordable, and will provide earthquake retrofitting for overpasses and bridges.
